Two questions

1. Will anyone who made definitive statements about the supposed innate inability of Peyton Manning and/or the Indianapolis Colts to win a big game be re-examining those statements?

2. What's everyone's ballpark figure on the number of TV's shot out in Houston and the greater Harris County area in the seconds immediately following Reggie Bush's incredible catch and run against the Bears?

1. Did Payton Manning really win the game? Or did Marlon Jackson? In the alternative, does it count as winning a game if the other team "loses it"?

2. 7

1. They might, but those who made definitive statements about the inability of Tom Brady to lose such games will not reexamine those statements. And a nice play at the end there by the second-most-overrated-Michigan-alum-DB-in-the-league (seriously, does Charles Woodson even play in the league anymore?) to get down and avoid a situation like last week in the NE-SD game.

2. Answering a question with a question: Which is more, the number of people in the greater Harris County area who shot out their TVs upon seeing that play by Bush, or the number of people who would have, but don't have TVs anymore, having shot them all out during Vince Young's near-weekly Houdini acts with the Titans this season? Vince Young...third pick, but this year the Browns will draft Brady Quinn in that spot. I hate everything.

Verbal, you're 0-for-2 on first-name spellings there. I would say that Peyton Manning did a damn fine job bringing his team back from an 18-point hole, especially on that last drive, when it seemed clear he couldn't really throw worth a shit. I also would attempt to rebut Crunk's argument about Marlin Jackson, except I don't have my own rankings of Michigan players in the NFL. That's strictly an Ohio State-fan kind of thing.

Also, it's worth noting that Green Bay Packers' cornerback Charles Woodson has a Heisman he can gaze at lovingly across a snifter of Cognac when he gets home, whereas Peyton's mantel is stuck with something garish and Chee-tos colored (one presumes; much like one presumes the wife only allows him Michelob Ultra).

As for Crunk's comment about the Browns, let's just say it's a good thing to have Matt Millen picking ahead of you.

I'm too lazy to spell check football players' names. Forgive me. (although I was aware that I was wrong)

I am aware of the misspellings. I just don't care. I am also incapable of spelling Kirk Herbstreit's name correctly on a regular basis. Just for the record.

i also can't seem to figure out when my comments post.

No ranking...I just started writing about how tremendously mediocre Marlin Jackson is, and almost referred to him as the most overrated Michigan grad in the league, until I remembered that Charles Woodson putatively is still an NFL player.

I also enjoy periodically bringing up Charles Woodson in coversations about Peyton Manning, because it's amusing to watch Flop spasm through a 10-year-old set of rants, straw-man arguments, and general bitching over the 1997 Heisman Trophy...which would be sad if it weren't for the fact that, well, his guy WON. Then it's just aggravating.
