Domenech resigns

The Washington Post's deranged, oppressed plagiarist just resigned. The Post's mea culpa is pretty classy and straightforward. They don't like plagiarists, either:
Plagiarism is perhaps the most serious offense that a writer can commit or be accused of. Washingtonpost.com will do everything in its power to verify that its news and opinion content is sourced completely and accurately at all times.

We appreciate the speed and thoroughness with which our readers and media outlets surfaced these allegations. Despite the turn this has taken, we believe this event, among other things, testifies to the positive and powerful role that the Internet can play in the the practice of journalism.
I know at least one vastly more talented guy in his mid-20s who'd make a good replacement.

He'd kick ass.

But he's not what the Post is looking for. They don't want honest commentary, they want spin, obfuscation and hooey.

Facts are biased. The Post needs to hire a bullshitter to balance them. How else will they get the right-wing e-mailers and letter-writers off their backs?
