Fiscal conservatism

Reading the New York Times Sunday Magazine over the weekend, I came across this rather frank interview with former Sen. Connie Mack (R-Fla.). It almost read like parody. Asked where the United States would get money if it keeps cutting taxes, Mack said "We'll borrow it." Asked a few questions later if this is fair to future generations, Mack said ...

I am not worried about that. We are a huge country producing enormous assets day in and day out. We have great strength, and we have always adjusted to difficulties that faced us, and we will continue to do so.

Party of personal and fiscal responsibility my ass. Jim Anchower runs his personal finances with more foresight and wisdom.

Connie Mack has always been a joke. Florida loves to elect fucknuts.

And that's former Sen. Connie Mack to you.
