Fresh off another spin through The New York Times revenue-generator known as Sunday Stylin', it was refreshing to read a story about New York City that didn't pander to the sensibilities of the idle wealthy. Of course, said story was in the features section* of The Washington Post, not that of the Times. Then again, rent control is an issue that affects very few of the fabulous ones whose coveted shoes walk the streets of the meatpacking district.
* The Washington Post's features section is called the Style section, and it happens to be one of the best newspaper sections in the country, in the opinion of precisely 50 percent of Cole Slaw Blog.
